Sizes and pricing

Prices depend on the size and how detailed the scene is. Here's where each size starts, from simple to highly detailed.

5 x 7 in From $60 $60 to $80

Level of detail

Simple

One subject with a soft, loose background, like a single cottage or a red phone box.

Moderate

A building with some detail and a simple sky or landscape, like a village church or a harbor house.

Detailed

Intricate stonework, towers, and lots of windows with a fuller background, like a castle or a row of shopfronts.

Highly detailed

Busy scenes with several buildings, people, or very fine linework, like a whole street or a city skyline.

Adding people, pets, or vehicles is $20 each. Need it by a certain date? Rush orders add 25%. Shipping is added at checkout, and every quote is confirmed with you by email before you pay anything.

Questions

How long does a commission take?

Most commissions are finished within 2 to 4 weeks of your deposit, depending on size and how many pieces are ahead of yours. You'll get a time estimate with your quote.

Can I ask for changes along the way?

Yes, at the sketch stage. I'll send you the sketch before I start painting, and you can ask for small changes then. Once the paint is down, bigger changes usually aren't possible, because watercolor can't be painted over the way other paints can.

Is the deposit refundable?

The deposit holds your spot and covers my planning and sketching time, so it's non-refundable once your commission is booked. You can read everything in my terms.

Do you ship outside the US?

Right now I ship within the US. If you're somewhere else, send a request anyway and I'll let you know what shipping would cost.

Can I give it as a gift?

Absolutely. Check the surprise gift box on the form, and I'll keep your painting off social media until it's been given.

How do I pay?

Once you're happy with your quote, I'll send you a secure checkout link through Stripe. You can pay by card, and I never see your card details.
